Kevin J. Adamson

Kevin Adamson’s practice brings 27 years’ experience to the firm as a highly skilled trial attorney with well over 100 trials. His experience includes complex litigation in criminal, administrative, and professional licensing law. Mr. Adamson’s practice emphasizes representing clients accused of criminal offenses in Sacramento and surrounding counties and clients with professional licensing issues throughout California.
Mr. Adamson has won numerous awards for his expertise and dedication to the legal field. He was honored with the California State Bar Myer Sankary Lawyer of the Year award in 2012 and given the Sacramento County Bar Association President’s Award in 2006. He was a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association’s Board of Directors for 11 years and was the Chair of the Indigent Criminal Defense Panel from 2005 to 2016. He was a member of the Sacramento Bar Association’s peer review committee for 14 years and he has been a featured speaker at many seminars on juvenile and criminal law for attorneys earning continuing legal education (MCLE) as required by the California State Bar.
Mr. Adamson has qualified as an expert witness by Sacramento Superior Court judges and testified in Superior Court on numerous occasions on the standard of care and effective assistance of counsel among California juvenile and criminal attorneys. He represented two juveniles in separate matters charged with homicide who were at the heart of the statewide litigation on the Constitutionality of Senate Bill 1391. The California Supreme Court eventually ruled in favor of Constitutionality and upheld SB1391. He has successfully defended clients in jury trials and bench trials in a variety of complex litigation issues.
Mr. Adamson represents teachers and healthcare professionals throughout the state on licensing and standard of care issues and has extensive experience in bench trials and hearings.
Mr. Adamson holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Saint Mary’s College and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
